What Your Faith Community Can Do

Often, faith communities have a great desire to include persons with mental illnesses into the full life of the Church, but they just don't know how to go about doing it.

Deacon Tom and Rita Lambert of Chicago, Ill., have written a helpful booklet on Faith Community Outreach. We've included some of their suggestions that have worked well in congregations. You may obtain a full copy of this booklet through NAMI Illinois at
www.Illinois.nami.org.

If you have other ideas about how a faith community can offer hope and support for persons with mental illnesses or if you would like to share what your church has been doing, please email eminnews@msn.com

Click on the links below (or buttons on the top of the page) to find out more about each of these suggestions.
